Speaker Profile Rabbi Moshe Shulman

Rabbi Shulman is Spiritual Leader of the Young Israel of Saint Louis, Saint Louis’ premier family oriented Young Israel Synagogue. He is a passionate educator infusion his Rabbinic leadership with a love of Tanach, a passion for Religious Zionism, and a deep love of Israel. In addition to his Rabbinic duties and the many weekly shiurim, Rabbi Shulman has also served as the Founding Dean of Yeshivat Kadimah High School and interim Head of School of Epstein Hebrew Academy in Saint Louis. He has taught extensively throughout his career, both in formal and informal educational frameworks. Previous to his position in St. Louis, Rabbi Shulman served as the spiritual leader of Shaarei Shomayim Congregation in Toronto, as well as Tanach and Jewish studies instructor at Bnei Akiva High Schools of Toronto (Or Chaim & Ulpanat Orot) and Mekorot Advanced Torah Study for Women. Rabbi Shulman holds Rabbinic Ordination from the Jerusalem Chief Rabbinate, an MA in Jewish Studies / Jewish Education from Touro University, and a B.Sc. in Computer Software Engineering from the Jerusalem College of Technology. His passion for Tanach education comes from many years of study with Israel’s leading Bible scholars both at Herzog Teacher’s College and Touro University’s Jerusalem center, studying under leading Tanach scholars such as Rav Yaakov Medan Shlit”a and Professional Nechama Leibowitz Z”L. He also studied Milah under the Chief Mohel of Jerusalem, Yosef Halpern, Z”L. Rabbi Shulman is a member of the St. Louis Rabbinical Council, the Rabbinical Council of America, and the Chicago Rabbinical Council. His wife, Baila, hails from Sydney Australia, and they have have 6 children (4 married) and a number of grandchildren, living in Israel, New York and Saint Louis.
