Ruthie Braffman Shulman is the Community Scholar and Yoetzet Halacha of Young Israel of West Hartford, Connecticut. She is also a Program Officer at Micah Philanthropies where she focuses on developing and supporting women in Torah Leadership positions in Orthodox shuls. Ruthie worked in community leadership and Torah education for more than 10 years, including institutions such as United Orthodox Synagogues of Houston, Manhattan Jewish Experience, OU-JLIC University of Pennsylvania, & OU-JLIC Drexel. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and 4 children.
