Speaker Profile Dr. Ira Bedzow

Ira Bedzow, Ph.D. is assistant professor of medicine and director of the Biomedical Ethics and Humanities Program at New York Medical College, and he is Senior Scholar of the Aspen Center for Social Values.  Dr. Bedzow received his Ph.D. from Emory University, an M.A from Touro College, an M.A. from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. from Princeton University. He is also an Orthodox rabbi (yoreh yoreh and yadin yadin).  Dr. Bedzow is editor-in-chief of the quarterly journal En Route and the author of six books, numerous articles and chapters on Jewish law and philosophy and poetry.
