Mark Trencher is the founder of Nishma Research, which has conducted 10 broad Jewish communal studies and 12 organizational studies since 2015. The primary focus of the communal research is to explore the broad range of issues in the Orthodox community that had not previously been adequately examined. He looks to the community to identify the questions that we need answered, and all findings are publicly shared.
Professionally, he headed the research departments at two Fortune 200 financial firms; and has taught business statistics at three universities. In the Jewish community, he has served as a synagogue president, a Jewish day school president, currently as Kashrut Vaad president, and as a three-time Jewish film festival chair. He is currently on the Board of Directors of both the National Council of Young Israel and PORAT (People for Orthodox Renaissance and Torah.
