Zuri Genish and his family of seven lived in Alei Sinai, Gush Katif for 14 years. Zuri took early retirement as an IDF Lieutenant Colonel prior to the Disengagement in August 2005 to work to try and stop the Disengagement. But in August 2005, the Genish family were forced to leave their home. They moved five different times during the first year. Over the past few years, family members have suffered from depression, trauma, emotional stress, financial strains. However, each one has learned to live with the trauma and carve a new path in life.
Moran Genish, Zuri's oldest daughter, will share her personal story and those of her four siblings.
