Speaker Profile Susie Weiss

Susie Weiss was raised and educated in Cleveland, Ohio. A lifelong Zionist, she was a leader in Bnei Akiva of North America and spent a year on Kibbutz prior to fulfilling her dream of Aliya in 1992. Since the death in combat of her son Ari, Susie has directed the Ochel Ari Food for Soldiers project, sending more than 18,000 food and gift packages to IDF combat soldiers serving in the field. She has lectured all over the world, describing the pleasure and pain of being a mother in Israel, and offering insight into the spiritual strength needed for survival. She is co-director of the Jewish Outreach Center of Ra'anana.
