Harvey Belovski has been rabbi of Golders Green Synagogue since 2003. A graduate in mathematics from University College, Oxford, he gained semicha from Gateshead Yeshiva, earned a PhD in hermeneutics from Birkbeck, University of London and is currently a post-graduate psychology student at City University.
Rabbi Belovski is principal and a founding governor of Rimon Jewish Primary School, head of modern rabbinic thought at LSJS, rav and rabbinic consultant of Chaplaincy, rosh midrasha of the Judi Back Women's Institute for Torah Studies, and a faculty member at the Montefiore College Semicha course. In 2014 he was a fellow of the Cambridge Co-exist Leadership Programme and will be a faculty member for the 2015 programme. Rabbi Belovski is the author of three books, broadcasts regularly on BBC Radio 2 and maintains the popular website www.rabbibelovski.co.uk.
