Dr. Anna Woloski-Wruble is a nurse midwife with a doctorate in Nursing Education which she received from Columbia University as a Hadassah Berman Scholar. Her professional pursuits include education, clinical practice, and research in sexuality and intimacy. She has an academic appointment at the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University where she co-coordinates the first mandatory course in sexuality at the school of medicine. She is the Chair for the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee and coordinates as well as lectures at the Hadassah Hebrew University School of Nursing where she teaches multiple courses on various topics from Research Methodology to Sexual Health Care for diverse populations and throughout the lifespan. Dr. Wruble is the receipient of the Bergman Prize for Creativity in Nursing given by Tel Aviv University and has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching from both the department deans and the university rector.
Dr. Woloski-Wruble’s sexual health clinics are part of the Russell and Patricia Fleishman Center for Women’s Health in Hadassah Ein Kerem and the multidisciplinary Sexual Health Center at Hadassah Mt Scopus where she does short term counseling and education to the very heterogeneous population that Hadassah serves. She is also involved in community education, focusing specifically on the ultraorthodox community in Israel and the US, on topics such as sexual health awareness, sexual functioning on the health illness continuum, relationship intimacy. Dr. Woloski-Wruble’s research and peer reviewed publications include issues of sexuality/intimacy and relationships over the lifespan and in times of health challenges. She has coauthored with Dr. Yocheved Debow a K through 12th grade sexuality and intimacy curriculum for Jewish day schools which includes teacher training seminars, parent workshops and a detailed theory based practical curriculum which is used by schools in the US and Israel. Dr. Wruble is a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists and the International Academy of Sex Research.
