Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Sarah Cheses is teaching Judaic Studies at Ulpanat Orot High School. Together with her husband Rabbi Noah Cheses, they served for three years as the Co-Directors of the Seif Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (JLIC) at Yale University, and are continuing this work as part time JLIC educators for university students in Toronto. Sarah is a graduate of the Keren Ariel Yoatzot Halacha Program at Nishmat: The Jeanie Schottenstein Center for Advanced Torah Study for Women in Jerusalem. As a Yoetzet, she is trained to serve as an adviser to women in Taharat Hamishpacha and women’s health. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University and a B.A. in Biology with Honors from Yeshiva University’s Stern College for Women.
