Rabbi Dr. Yonatan Feintuch teaches Talmud, Midrash and Jewish Thought at Yeshivat Har Etzion Beit Midrash for Women in Migdal Oz and Bar Ilan University, and is the Rabbi of the Ilana de-Chayei community in Katamon, Jerusalem.
He earned his BSc in medical sciences at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and his Masters and PhD in Talmud from Bar Ilan University. He also holds a teacher’s degree from Herzog College.
He writes and speaks widely on issues of Tanach, Midrash and Aggadot of the Talmud, and Hasidut, with a special emphasis on issues of the dynamics between halakha and aggada in the Talmud. He has published many articles on these topics in leading academic as well as Torani journals.
Rabbi Feintuch resides with his wife, Carmit and their six children in Jerusalem, Israel.
