Dr. Ethan (Eitan) Halpern is an alumnus of Yeshivat Hakotel and graduate of Columbia College (BA ‘81) the New York University School of Medicine (MD ‘85) and University of Pennsylvania (MSCE ‘98). Since completing his residency training in diagnostic radiology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in 1991, Dr. Halpern has been on staff as an academic radiologist at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. Halpern is currently Professor of Radiology, Urology and Medicine in the Sidney Kimmel Medical College and Vice Chairman for research in the Department of Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University. His clinical and research interests include cardiac imaging (he is director of the cardiac CT program) and genitourinary imaging (he is co-director of the Jefferson Prostate Diagnostic Center). Dr. Halpern also participates in the medical student professionalism program, where he conducts seminars with medical students and residents concerning the Physician Charter and its relationship to clinical practice decisions.
