Speaker Profile Aliza Abrams

Aliza Abrams is the Director of the Department of Jewish Service Learning at Yeshiva University's Center for the Jewish Future (CJF).  She holds a BA in Judaic Studies from Stern College for Women and a Masters in Social Work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Aliza’s career began at the CJF as the Presidential Fellow in the Department of Community Initiatives.  Over the last number of years Aliza has built up the service learning program at Yeshiva University and has worked with thousands of college students.  Aliza has led over 20 different service missions around the world and has sent over 3,000 students on Torah Tours, a program which enhances Synagogues across North America over a variety of Jewish holidays.  In addition she has lectured around the world including in the UK, Israel, Brazil, Ukraine and all over North America.  Aliza is a member of the inaugural Wexner Field Fellows program through the Wexner Foundation.  In her free time she volunteers for her shul in Washington Heights NY, the Mt. Sinai Jewish Center, coordinating social and fundraising events.
