Ellen Goldberg
Ellen Goldberg is a Miami-based author, writer, editor and photographer who for 17 years served as a Jewish engagement and identity professional with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. With an extensive background in print journalism and photography, she was a South Asia-based reporter for The Christian Science Monitor and editor of The Jewish Press of Tampa. Her books include The Last Jews of Cochin: Jewish Identity in Hindu India, authored with Nathan Katz, and co-editor of Ethnic Conflict in Buddhist Societies: Sri Lanka, Thailand and Burma. Her works have been published by the Associated Press, The Boston Globe, St. Petersburg Times, and Hadassah magazine, among many others. Her photographs have appeared in one-woman and group exhibitions, including The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, B’nai B’rith Klutznick National Jewish Museum, Judah L. Magnes Museum and the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU.
Goldberg has traveled and lived in South Asia for more than two years, and with her husband has led educational travel programs in India and Sri Lanka.
