John D. Loike is a Professor of Biology at Touro College and Adjunct Professor at Columbia University School of Physicians and Surgeons. He created and runs BioCEP (Biomedical Cross-cultural Education Program) and writes a monthly column on bioethics for The Scientist magazine. He research focuses on the immune system in Parkinson’s disease and also publishes about secular and halachic bioethics and medical ethics. His 6th edition of Science-Based Bioethics was released on January 2019.
