e-TiM: Rosh Hashanah and the Warping of Time and Space

This three-part program will take place on Tuesdays at 11:00am Eastern, 6:00pm in Israel, September 6-20

Though our lives are embedded within time and place, the Rabbis emphasized our potential to transform those parameters. We will gain access to this Rabbinic perspective through the study of their ideas, stories and readings of Biblical verses about the experiences of the month of Tishrei.

Meet the speaker

Rabbanit Gilla Rosen

Rabbanit Gilla Rosen is the dean emerita of the Yakar Centers for Torah and Creativity in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. She teaches Talmud and Midrash at Yakar and Nishmat and works as a Yoetzet Halakha (Halakhic advisor). Gilla studied at the Michlala College for Women, Barnard, the University of Manchester, Matan and Nishmat. She received her MA in Comparative Literature. She has lectured at Pardes, Matan, Midreshet Lindenbaum and the Melton Program at Hebrew University. She lives in Jerusalem with her children and grandchildren.
