Shofars and Other Ritual Treasures from the Natural World.
Take an online tour of the Biblical Museum of Natural History's unique Hall of Shofars! Rabbi Dr. Natan Slifkin explains the laws of shofar with the aid of an amazing range of horns from dozens of different exotic animals. Learn too about other ritual Jewish artefacts that are made from other treasures of the natural world.

The learning with Rabbi Slifkin is sponsored by Naomi and Mark Chernin in memory of Mark's  father Homer Chernin, Berel Chayim ben Gedalia Hirsch z"l, whose 6th yahrzeit was on the 28th of Menachem Av. He had a wide range of interests both religious and secular including a curiosity about animals. He would have enjoyed Rabbi Slifkin's insights and wit.
