Standing at Sinai- A Moment of Awe and a Lifetime of Law

Michal Porath-Zibman

Standing at Mt Sinai and receiving the Torah is one of the most fundamental stories of our history and our religion. The background to the story and understanding of how the Torah chooses to introduce itself to us is sometimes overlooked because it isn't the main event. We will explore the fascinating lead up to Matan Torah, and delve into the story of Revelation at Sinai itself. With an emphasis on an in depth study of the 10 Commandments we aim to  understand  the Sinai experience not only as a past event but as an ongoing dialogue between G-d and the Jewish people.
