The Aggada, or non-legal sections of the Talmud, has not always received due attention in Jewish education. Careful reading of Aggada reveals that its stories and ethical advice often offer profound reflections on religious life.

Rabbi Yitzchak Blau

Rabbi Yitzchak Blau Is a Rosh Yeshiva at Yeshivat Orayta and also teaches at Midreshet Lindenbaum. An associate editor of Tradition journal, he is the author of Fresh Fruit and Vintage Wine: The Ethics and Wisdom of the Aggada.
