Wisdom is not a general concept in the Hebrew Bible but a distinctive school of thought that addresses fundamental questions of the human condition.  Like philosophy—and unlike prophecy—Wisdom acknowledges that most of what we want to know is unknowable, and yet believes that humans have the capacity to understand parts of life and its meaning through the power of our own thought.

This series explores the insights of Biblical Wisdom through its greatest texts and their counsel for conducting our own lives.
