This series will take place on Sundays at 11:15am Eastern time, 6:15pm in Israel.
From the very first chapter of the Bible, the number 7 emerges as a number that carries religious significance, be it in relation to shabbat, shemitta, purity laws, sacrifices, and even treaties.
In our series, we will explore the thematic meaning of ‘seven’ beginning with Day One, and trace its development from Breishit to Devarim, not only to better understand the meaning of the shemitta year,, but also in a manner that can also help us better appreciate shabbat - as well as Jewish life in general - even not during a shemitta year, and even when living outside the Land of Israel.
