The Harmony of Dissonance: A Study of Megilat Eikhah

Rabbi Yitzchak Etshalom

Mondays, June 26 to July 24 - 10:00am Eastern, 5:00pm Israel

(Please note that class on MONDAY, JULY 17 will be at 9:00am Eastern.)

The mournful tones of Megilat Eikhah echo through our collective memory as the whispers of loss, the wistful nostalgia for a noble glory incredibly tarnished and sullied by calamity after calamity, hurban followed by yet another hurban. We explore the elegiac poetry of this hallowed collection of dirges with an aim to understanding the author's goal and trying to resolve whether it was achieved.
