Originally from Toronto, Canada, Atara studied for two years in the Beit Midrash in Migdal Oz before completing her undergraduate degree in Jewish Studies at Stern College. As a student in the GPATS program, Atara is working towards a Masters in Biblical and Talmudic Interpretation as well as teaching Tanach at Stern College where she is an adjunct professor. She is also a student in Nishmat's Miriam Glaubach Center and U.S. Yoatzot Halacha Fellows Program. Her other interests include long hikes in the outdoors and practicing Hebrew calligraphy.
