Pesach 5785: Understanding Hallel - Full and Half
Dedicated by Rabbi Refoel and Sharon E. Pearl Auman in memory of Sharon's father, Rabbi Leonard Pearl, הרב יהודה ליב בן הרב בן ציון, ז״ל whose Yahrzeit will be on כ״ו ניסן. He was born in Harlem, NY where his father was a prominent Rav. At the age of 14, after his father׳s untimely death, he was sent to learn in the Mirrer Yeshiva in Poland. He was there for 8 years and got סמיכה from Rabbi Finkel. Upon his return, he was principal of Salanter Yeshiva in the Bronx for many years. He was a brilliant, powerful speaker and was known for his humility and kindness. יהי זכרו ברוך!
