Editor of Tradition. Teaches Philosophy and Jewish Studies at Yeshiva University. Selected by R. Soloveitchik to edit his writings; edited Worship of the Heart and presently completing a second volume on prayer. Among other books: Modern Scholarship in Study of Torah: Contributions and Limitations; Jewish Perspectives on the Experience of Suffering. Has published widely on Biblical thought, interface of Halakha and Philosophy, R. Kook, R. Soloveitchik, Torah and liberal arts.
