Rabbi Andrew Rosenblatt has served as the spiritual leader of Vancouver’s Congregation Schara Tzedeck since 2003, focusing on making traditional Torah teachings relevant to modern life.
A Baltimore native and descendant of famed cantor Yossele Rosenblatt, he holds degrees in chemistry and English literature from Columbia University, along with a master's in bio-organic chemistry. Rabbi Rosneblatt earned ordination (semicha) from Yeshiva University after studying at Yeshivat Har Etzion in Israel. Rabbi Rosenblatt has served as the Rabbi of Schara Tzedeck in Vancouver BC for 23 years. Previously served as assistant rabbi at Congregation Ahavath Torah in Englewood, New Jersey. He has served on the Executive of the RCA and on the Beit Din of the Orthodox Rabbinical Council of BC. Rabbi Rosenblatt is Married to Dr. Cirelle Rosenblatt, with whom he has five children.
