Speaker Profile Rabbanit Joanne Greenaway

Joanne is a Cambridge graduate with a background in law and Jewish legal studies. Joanne spent 12 years in international arbitration and public law, appearing before tribunals in The Hague. She established a new role at the London Beth Din where she pioneered solutions for Get refusal cases.  For the last 7 years she has been CEO of LSJS (the London School of Jewish Studies) training teachers across the Jewish world and teaching thousands of students on lifelong Jewish learning programmes.  She works with European Jewish communities on long-term educational strategy and speaks widely, primarily on contemporary challenges in the Jewish world.  She has completed a four-year qualification with Ohr Torah Stone’s International Halakha Scholars programme and is now working on her PhD in Jewish Studies as a Walder Scholar and completing her book on Get refusal in the 21st Century.  Her passion project is hosting the Women’s Gallery podcast, showcasing women in Jewish leadership today.
