Speaker Profile Cantor Paul Shaviv

Paul Shaviv is a retired Jewish educator, having served in senior roles (Head of Jewish Studies and Director of Education) at six Jewish schools in four countries - including fourteen years as Director of Education at TanenbaumCHAT in Toronto, and three years heading Ramaz in New York. in 2010 he was awarded the Max Fisher Prize for Excellence in Jewish Education. He published 'The Jewish High School:a complete management guide'. Originally from the UK, he holds BA/MA in Architecture from Cambridge, and M Phil in Medieval and modern Jewish Studies from Oxford. He lived in Israel from 1982-1990, where he headed the Israel representative office of a major international Jewish organization. He lectures and writes widely on Jewish history and Jewish historiography. Currently, he lives between Florida and Jerusalem, enjoying his large libraries in both places!'.
