Yakov Yellin is an ordained rabbi with smicha from HaRav Moshe Feinstein z"l, and a lawyer with a Doctorate in Jewish Studies, who has spent the better part of his career specializing in modern business ethics and compliance. He was for many years the head of the Global Ethics and Compliance Management Group and the Chief Compliance Officer at The Walt Disney Company.
He has written a book "A Code of Conduct for Business Consistent with Jewish Law and Tradition: Background, History, Theory and Practice" in which he analyzes the ancient Jewish roots of business ethics and proposes a practical code of conduct for business based on Jewish law and ancient Jewish tradition that also meets modern legal requirements and ethical sensibilities.
