As important as prayer is all year it takes on extra significance during the Yamim Noarim season and Sukkot. We spend many hours in shul during this time we tend to spend less time focusing on the meaning of these beautiful prayers. Please join us as we will explore the layers of meaning of our tefillot during this important time of year.

Meet the speaker

Rabbi Jay Kelman

Rabbi Jay Kelman is founder and director of Torah in Motion. In addition to his leadership role at TiM, Rabbi Kelman teaches Halacha and Rabbinics at the Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto. He received a BSc in accounting from Yeshiva University and Smicha from its affiliate, Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and served as a pulpit rabbi in Toronto for 15 years. During that time he was a recipient of the Award for Rabbinic Leadership from the Jewish Federation…
