Wendy Shalit

Wendy Shalit was born in Milwaukee , Wisconsin , and received her B.A in philosophy from Williams College .  Her essays on literary and cultural topics have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Commentary, and other publications.  Her book, A Return To Modesty:Discovering The Lost Virtue, appeared in 1999 and has translated into several languages.  Wendy is also the founder of ModestyZone.net, an informal community of young women who don't have a voice in the mainstream media.  Today she lives with her family in Toronto , where she is at work on her next book, for Random house.
