Marty Lockshin is a native Torontonian. He received rabbinical ordination in Israel and a PhD in Jewish Studies at Brandeis University. Marty has written four books and a number of articles, mostly about the history of Jewish Bible commentaries, and about Jewish-Christian polemics and cooperative ventures. He is Professor of Humanities and Hebrew at York University, where he has worked for 30 years. He has just returned from a sabbatical in Israel.
